As the alpaca fiber industry continues to grow, more and more people are purchasing  non-breeding male alpacas to raise for fiber – both to sell and for their own use. In addition, people are finding that non-breeding male alpacas can make delightful pets and youth livestock projects. They are quiet, curious, rather dignified, and very individualistic.  Alpacas are gentle and can be trained with patience and gentleness.  Whether you have a herd of fiber boys or family pets, you will find that time can easily slip away while leaning on the fence and watching their interactions and antics!
